JBCS Monthly Open House

Time: 11am – 4pm

– Meet artists as they do their artworks in their studios

– View ceramic artworks in the JBCS Gallery

– Tour Guan Huat Dragon Kiln and learn about wood firing

  

Hands-on Clay Session

Time: 2 – 4pm

Try your hands at basic clay forming techniques to create your own functional piece

This piece will be glazed and fired for you

Walk in registration

Fee: Hand Building / Adult $20, Under 12 years old $10

Wheel Throwing / Adult $30, Under 12 years old $20

 

Collect your work: 7th May 2016 onwards

Please note that we would like to give newcomers a chance on the wheel. 

We will be giving newcomers first priority on the wheel.  To those who have had a chance on the wheel, you can have no more than three rounds on the wheel. 

Your understanding and cooperation is very much appreciated.

Please drop by and enjoy over 100 works by JBCS artists.

This is also a wonderful opportunity to buy a wide variety of works at very reasonable prices and to meet the artists.

Contemporary Ceramics- France in Singapore Festival, 2015

RESIDENCY AND EXCHANGE OF EXPERTISE

Focus Ceramic Services – JBCS welcomes French Ceramists Christine Waxweiler and Thiebaut Chague for a month long residency in JBCS. Chrsitine and Thiebaut, members of d’Ateliers d’Art de France will creat works that will be fired in the Guan Huat dragon kiln.

All are welcomed to participate in our schedule of events.

The dinnerware (bowl, plates and spoon) created and fired in the dragon kiln will be used in a french buffet scheduled on 17th May.
